A story about a craft kit

On October 14th of 1995 my brother was born (he actually had his birthday last friday).

I was 7 years old back then, and I still vividly remember those days, going to visit my mom in the hospital, looking at my brother, going for walks with my father and my grandpa. On one of these walks we went into a toy shop and my grandpa bought me this jewelry kit, which I still have in my mind every now and then. It makes me think that some things are meant to be.

And the funny thing is that I found it yesterday by chance, while searching some old stuff.

Felt good (and kind of weird, too) holding it in my hands 21 years after the day it was bought for me….

Combing colors

I usually design each piece on paper, with pencil, always keeping it in black and white.

It’s the next step when I look at materials and colors, matching them and making the final combination.

Combining colors it’s very interesting, almost magical, for me. I usually use my instinct to find the “right” combination. It’s like mixing colors on a canvas. Bringing close different shades, there comes a moment when I think “that’s it!”.

And then it’s time to bring to life the design!
